Video Games Versus World of Warcraft – Which is Better?

It all first started with console games on the Atari then the Nintendo 8 bit system then the Super Nintendo which was 16 bit then fast forward several years until the present we have the PlayStation 3 which is more than 128 bit but then again the number of bits haven’t been a good benchmark since PlayStation 1!

Anyway about a month after purchasing my PS3 a work colleague of mine bragged about how awesome this online game UFABET was. Chances are you’ve probably heard of the most popular online Role Playing Game (RPG) ever which is called World of Warcraft.

This review is somewhat unfair as we are actually comparing a category with a specific online game. However my argument here is that World Of Warcraft or Wow for short is such a huge or massively multiplayer (Blizzard,the company that created Wow coined this term) game that to compare it with just one specific video game would just be too ridiculously unfair to that game in question.

So here are 3 main reasons why World Of Warcraft is better than video games in general;

1. Online Gameplay

It was reported in 2008 that Wow has a market share of 62.5% in the MMORPG market of subscription based online games. Which equates to roughly 11.5 million players that play this game online worldwide. Plenty of video game makers have tried to emulate their success but nothing else comes close to the giant that is Wow. Video game makers can only dream of having a revenue stream like Wow where subscription fees from 11.5 million gamers is pouring into their account every month. Whereas game sales tend to be just a one time purchase and even though online play is available for newer video games it’s still no where near as good Wow.

2. Addictive Gameplay

The game itself has been designed in such a brilliant way that players just continue to subscribe to play it. The gaming environment of Wow is immensely huge and detailed that it caters to a very wide variety of gamers with different sorts of backgrounds and demographics. From famous celebrities to everyday stay at home moms, from your typical geeky hardcore gamers to the casual weekends only player, from young high school teens to philosophy doctorate adults. This game basically has something for everyone. The only way for you to find out what is so special about this game is for you to actually try it for yourself.
